I have been on a skirt buying spree. It's fun to buy separates. Though, I never have any tops to wear with skirts. Need to remember to buy outfits and not pieces.

Enchanted Beans Skirt - by floreat. I have not really bought any thing yellow lately. I was due for a fix. Love the light mustard color of this skirt. Looks really great on. I think I could wear a plain white v-neck tee with this, an awesome necklace, and brown leather flats.

Pretty Wisp Skirt - by one september. I am usually not one for light pinks (or any pastel-y color for that matter.) This particular one caught my eye when I first saw it. Then it went on sale and I asked myself, why not? I really like the metallic-y pink. It's slightly tiered at the bottom with gold thread. I think it will look great with a brown leather belt at the waist.

Stone & Cloud Skirt - by odille. When I first saw this, I loved the bold gray and white stripes, but was not too keen on the fabric choice. I kept remembering it over the past couple of months. Saw this in my size and on sale, so again, why not? I really like it and I could picture so many different colored tops to go with it.

Languid Layers Skirt - by odille. I LOVE this skirt. So much that I am thinking about purchasing the other colors. I think the colors in this one is perfect for fall, while the other one is a great summer skirt. There might be the other colors in an upcoming post if I decide to get them also...

Laurasia Left Blouse - by gemma. This blouse is gorgeous. I bought it to wear with the Languid Layers Skirt. They look fantastic together. The different prints make it really fun. Finally, I bought a whole outfit!

Black Knit Top - by ogle. This looks wonderful on with some skinny jeans. I think I will wear it with shorts and black gladiators. The top makes me look and feel skinny, which I like. Simple, but fantastic.

Mod Cloth

This post has been sitting on the back burner for 4 months. Eek! I purchased my first two pieces from Mod Cloth a while ago. I am constantly online browsing at Mod Cloth. They have such fun pieces. Usually, I keep something in mind to buy later, but it always ends up sold out! This time, I took the purchase plunge. I really love the retro/vintage inspired looks of a lot of the items. Their vintage items are great too (and sells out quickly!)

Lemon Drop Dress - How fun is this? The bright yellow dots really make it pop. Perfect fun dress for summer. Need some great sandals to go with this. And a scarf.

Spelling Bee Top - Still on the hunt for more tops and this one is really fantastic. Has a arts and crafts feel to me. Not usually one for the red/white/blue combo, but am definitely happy with this.

Walk A-Ways Dress - by One.September. I am not usually one for black and white stripes, but I couldn't resist the green skirt of the dress. I also knew that this dress had a high likelihood of selling out. So I had to get. Glad I did because it did sell out in store...and I get a lot of compliments on it.

Bobbin Lace Racerback - by Tiny. How adorable is this tank? Especially with the eyelet fabric on the right side, which gives this otherwise plain tank a little something. Could wear with jeans (though not a fan of blue on denim.) I definitely will wear it tucked into a skirt.

Half Moon Hobo - Such a fun, vintage-esqe bag! The colors are gorgeous. My favorite part? The ric rac on it! This is such a great summer bag and I hope to have it for years and years to come.

Bamboo Billow Mini - I really like Dolce Vita's line of clothing. Though, I never had seen it in person. That is, until I saw this. The silk feels wonderful. The shape is fun. I can't wait to wear it! I think I'll be pairing it with a bright yellow top and woven brown belt.

Boyish Charm Kickers - I saw this on someone and fell in love...I never would've tried this on otherwise. Since I'm short, I tend to stay away from things that are this length. But I decided to go for it and try it. I'm already starting to think of my fall/winter wardrobe and think this will fit in so perfectly. It'll look great with the Jeffrey Campbell ruffle platforms I have. Or even ankle length boots. I finally have black pants (haven't had any for 4 years...)

If there is any thing I love about Vegas, it's the fact that I can pick up things like this. If I were in LA still, I most likely would not be able to get my hands on a piece from the line in the size I need. H&M is a zoo when it comes to designer collaborations in fashion-y cities like Los Angeles and NY. Here in Vegas? Matthew Williamson who? This is the only time where people's lack of knowledge in fashion is welcomed. At the same time though, the store didn't have too many pieces, which is unfortunate as I was eyeing a few more dresses.

Oh, and my husband loved it so much, he bought it all for me! The first tunic, I really love the print and colors, but didn't really feel as if I would wear it. Hubby convinced me to get it any ways. I love the bird tunic though (probably because the chartreuse attracts me more to it!) And the last dress is fun. Perfect for summer with sandals and can go into fall with boots (Yup...I am starting to think fall already!)

Hayden-Harnett Sample Sale Pt. 2

Finally getting a chance to post the bags I got from the HH sample sale. I love sample sales.

Clarice Train Case - part of the Paule Marrot Voyage collection. I've always like HH travel bags (garment bag...I am eyeing you!) The oranges and blue on this bag is gorgeous. I can either use it as a travel case for my make-up and things or as a regular handbag. Love that versatility!

Camille Clutch - I had trouble deciding between the colors, but I ended up picking eucalyptus. What drew me to the bag was the basketweave and the fact that there is a long strap for easy wearability. I've been wanting a grey bag over the past year and am very happy with this purchase. The leather is so soft and supple. If this came in fun colors, I would be all over it again.

BDG Silk Tunic + skirt - I finally bought a top and a skirt that I would wear together instead of just buying separates. The colors are a little unexpected, but I really like it together. Add a belt, and an outfit is made! The tunic will be good with jeans and a chunky necklace.

Ecote Scarf Dress - This dress has been in my wish list for some time now. I stare at it every so often. I finally went to Urban to browse and saw this dress! The last one in my size. Fate? Maybe not, but I wasn't going to pass it up. I bought the navy one because I liked it the best.

White Summer Dress - White is not the best color to wear. At least for me. I get things dirty. Constantly. At the same time, this dress fit really well and I love the cut outs in the front with the yellow underneath.

Sioux City Dress - My husband has gotten back into Stussy...it was a very popular skate brand to wear back in the early 90's after all. I'm not usually one for clothes like this, but I really love the colors, the print, and the style of this dress. It'll be great to throw this on with some cute sandals and take off.

Jalousie Blouse - The eye-catching green is gorgeous in this top. Not to mention all the detailing. It fits my look for this summer. The ruffled edges make this blouse oh-so-feminine. Another great top for jeans.

Essential Peasant Blouse - by Edme & Esyllte. A definite staple for this season's Bohemian feel. Light-weight enough for summer. Definitely will look great with skinnies and this colorful woven belt I just bought.

Rustled Breeze Top - by Bordeaux. This is an absolutely comfortable top. I really like the batwing sleeves and the way the shirt drapes. It's a gorgeous green for summer. Definitely would recommend to every one.

New Outlook Belt - It seems like I am buying a lot of red/coral colors lately...When I saw this belt I just had to have it, though I'm not sure why. I definitely love it, but haven't thought of what I am going to wear it with. I'm sure it'll be easy to find something though.

Nordstrom Rack

I have only been in Nordstrom Rack once before, and immediately left. I am not one to usually deal with crowds or stores in which I have to dig, but this time, I went with a friend who convinced me that I needed to try it and I might find some great things. She was right. And there might be more rack shopping in the future.

Floral Dress - I love this dress by Halogen. It really reminds me of the things my mom used to wear in the 70s. Those that know me, know how much I love the 60-70s era. I'm not quite sure what shoes I will be wearing with it (suggestions are always welcomed!), but it'll be a great dress for fall

Seychelles Chemise Wedge Sandal - I have been eyeing these shoes ever since I saw them online and was very happy when I saw them. I love the yellow color and they are such a comfortable wedge.

Steve Madden Sandals - I found my summer sandals! I got it in brown since that will go with most of my summer wardrobe.

I picked up this beautiful dress (Helena wrap dress in painterly) at the HH online sample sale a couple months ago and I love it! The colors are fun for summer. The fabric used to construct this dress is to die for. I absolutely love the feel of it. I haven't worn it yet, but I will soon! I am now a HH fan and would definitely pick up more clothing when I can. I am so sad I didn't buy some cute sandals when I had the chance though. I also bought a couple of bags, but I'll post that later!

A week later...I ended up at the Anthropologie at The Grove when I was in LA. I'm glad I went because I was able to get some things I couldn't have gotten at the store near me.

Place-to-place blouse - by Odille. Coral is such a big color for summer. Every where I go, I am drawn to it. When I caught this top out of the corner of my eye, I immediately went for it. And, it looked great on. Definitely would suggest this and it's now on sale, so that's a definite plus!

Tiny Bud Top - by Deletta Love this orange top and it's perfect to wear with jeans. I love the neckline of the top which is gathered. Very flattering, soft, and comfortable.

Anna Sui Skirt - I picked this skirt up on sale, which was great since Sui's things are usually much more. Love the ethnic print on the skirt and it looks great paired with a white top and woven belt. I never saw this at the store close to me, but when I found it at the grove, I had to have it (of course)

Rachel Pally Dress - I have been eyeing this since it came in last winter, but didn't feel I really needed it (I have plenty of RP dresses...) Then the time came when it was such a good price that I couldn't pass it up. Plus, it was in my size! Fate? Maybe not, but I wanted it. It is such a gorgeous shape.

Skywriter Dress - by Madchen. I love long dresses. I love long dresses with a very bohemian feel. This is really the best thing I have bought for summer. I want to wear it all the time because it's so comfortable and I get a ton of compliments on it every where I go.

Mesoamerica Blouse - by Baraschi. Loving the bohemian feel of things as of late. This blouse is made out of a beautiful fabric and it's lined inside where the embroidery is (so it doesn't scratch your skin!)

Brewed Bean Shell - Ruffles? Of course. I got this in the turquoise. Always need tops for the skirts I buy. This is perfect.

Veselova Wide-Legs - by Idra. I usually do not buy pants. Only jeans. Or leggings. But I love the feel of this one. It looks great on. Super cute with a shirt tucked in and heels. Light-weight enough where I don't get too hot.

Mid-Century Modern Skirt - by Barila. Could I really resist a skirt called Mid-Century Modern? No way. It's one of my fave decorating styles. Of course, I did not buy the skirt just for the name. I saw it and thought it was cute. The name just helped push me in the direction of getting it. Of course...I have no top to go with it...

My favorite find from Target! I love this Mossimo Kimono sleeve blouse. Absolutely great with my skinnies. I get a ton of compliments from this shirt (and people are always surprised when I say "it's from Target." It also comes in a white print, black, and purple.

I wear a lot of leggings for my casual days at work when I know I'll be getting a little dirty and climbing ladders. This was perfect. I usually pair it with a black waist belt to give it some shape.

Etesian Dress - This is a gorgeous dress! It makes me feel all "LA" again out here in Vegas for some reason. It looks super cute with the tie tied around the waist and bloused out a little for some volume. Definitely could do some fun tights and flats in it. For a night out on the town some heels. For fall...tights and really great boots. I love versatile clothing.

Light Ring Tunic - Love the simplicity of this tunic with the fun rainbow stitching at the top and ribbon bands at the bottom. For my more casual days at work...worn with black leggings. I'm also short enough to use this as a casual summer dress with some cute sandals. Being short is good some times.

Stillwater Blouse - Saw this in the catalogue and had to have it. Waited for it to come into the store. Once it did I snatched it up straight away. Could wear this with jeans or pants, but I am going to use it tucked into a skirt (my gold corey lynn calter to be specific.)

Show-Off Tunic - Such a fun top. Love the floral print on it. Long enough for me to wear it with just leggings. Definitely could do it with jeans or tucked into a skirt. It actually looked fun with a corey lynn calter red polka dot pencil skirt that I did not buy. Should've.

Hushed Hamelt Dress - by Maeve. Ever since this first came in I have been drawn to it. Such a simple silhouette in a coral-y red + tan color. Finally decided to try it on and realized I had to have this. I plan on changing out the sash for a belt instead. Great dress for the upcoming warm weather.

Waiting-For-Poems Sheath - I usually am not one for embroidery...especially of things like flowers or birds, but this dress really caught my eye. I think it was mainly the color combinations that attracted me. The blue is light and pretty, the green straps make it different, and the coral sash gives it a nice pop. This dress actually fits great and I am so happy with this purchase.

Windows Shade Blouse - I have been staring at this blouse for a few weeks. It is a great summer-time shirt. I plan on wearing it with the skirt to the right, tucked in with a brown woven belt at the waist. It looks so great together! And this will also look nice just with a belt around the waist of it and some jeans.

Jacquared Tulip Skirt - I love this skirt. Especially the color, which I know most people do not like. Not because it's yellow, but because it's more of a lime-y yellow. Not the prettiest color in most peoples book, but I LOVE it. And it looks great with the white blouse.

Corsa Collection

I love Corsa. It's a store at the Forum Shops that carries designer handbags (YSL, MJ, RM, Bottega, Chloe, and more). I love how there are multiple brands housed under one roof. Unfortunately this store is closing down. Ultimately, they said they are going to move to another location. The good thing for me? SALE. I was just browsing the store one day and out of the corner of my eye I saw a bag...a bag that my friend had bought that I wanted to find. But I didn't want to pay regular price..and I said that if I was going to pay regular price, I would rather get the Mid City Tote by Foley + Corinna. Luckily, I did find this bag (I still plan on getting the F+C bag though!)

The "Jenny" by Kooba. I love it. I have been searching for a bag with a long strap for when I'm vacationing (or something.) The leather is supple, the style is great and so functional. I will be getting so much use out of this bag. I would highly recommend getting this! I plan on going back to Corsa soon...see what else I can get.

Spring time! Okay, not yet, but pretty much so in my world. It's the time where I start buying stuff for the upcoming season. Time for more color.

Stacked Petal Scoopneck - by Little Yellow Button. Yes, another black top, but a little (more) black won't hurt will it? I love the petals on the front of this shirt. Petals are very spring. The sleeves have a bubble hem. A good layering piece

Medzera Tee - Love the color of this tee. Finally, something brighter right? This is going to look great worn with my Corey Lynn Calter stripe skirt...or even my goldy tweed one.

Vintage Button Necklace - I have been staring at this necklace ever since it first came into the stores a few months back. Each one was different. It finally went on sale and the store still had it in the exact color I wanted. Fate.

Zig Zag Scarf - I actually saw this on a girl at the mall. It was so cute! So cute that I had to get one for myself. Though...I'm not really a scarf girl. Hopefully I will wear it!

Banana Republic

BR is another store that I hardly go into. I was bored one day and was shopping at Town Square when I decided to go take a peek. They were having an amazing sale and I scored two great tops.

Both are black. I know, how boring, but I assure you...color is coming! So the first top is just a basic one. I am always in need of basic tops to pair with skirts or pants. It was a great fit and the fabric is very soft and comfortable. The second top has what I love best...ruffles. Perfect for jeans or again, tucked into a skirt...with a cool belt...and some great shoes.

Target - Hayden-Harnett

SO this is a long over-due post also. I have been ever so patiently waiting for the Hayden-Harnett collection at Target. Then it hit the stores and I ran as fast as I could. The good thing about living in Vegas now is that there are plenty to go around usually (then again, that's not a reason that would make me want to stay in sin city forever...) In L.A., things would sell out so quickly and I would be left with nothing.

Double-Flap Bag - This was the main thing I wanted. I love it as a clutch. Now the material isn't the greatest (but isn't that always the case with cheap bags?) It's just good enough for me to use during the day and not worry so much about it.

Flight Tote - I didn't have any intention on buying this. At the same time, I wanted a fun, punchy print that reminds me of Hayden-Harnett things. Modeled after the Ibiza Flight Tote from Hayden-Harnett. It does make a good carry-on piece when flying. Instead of carrying a purse, I would bring this along. It'll fit in all I need, some magazines, and even my laptop. And I can wear it messenger-style at the airport (I hate it when I'm rolling my carry-on suitcase and my purse keeps falling off my shoulders!)

Gilt Group - RM bag

Rebecca Minkoff is one of my favorite handbag designers. I remember the first time I fell in love with a RM bag 4 years ago. I remember when I got my first Morning After bag. Gilt was having a sale on RM bags a month or two ago. I wasn't fast enough to get all the bags I wanted...but I was able to get at least one.

The Oliver! I love the gold chain and the dark green color. When the box arrived, I immediately tore into it. Another lovely bag to add to my collection. I hope to be getting a Devote soon...just need to decide what color!

Joe's Chelsea Romi - I was in dire need of some new jeans. I have a ton of wide leg, high-waist ones and needed something more for every day wear. These are perfect. They are actually supposed to be ankle length, but on my 5'2'' frame, they fit like pants. I love the dark wash which makes it more dressier. Also thinking about getting the Cigarette Kennedy pair...which is more of a regular blue. It will be next.

Cornelia Skirt - I usually am not into khaki colored bottoms, but I had to have this. I like the silhouette of the skirt a lot. I think it'll work well for spring with a brightly colored top and I plan on wearing my Marni yellow heels with it.

Brown Suede Belt - Got myself a belt finally. It is so hard to find belts that I like. I'm actually not sure if I really like this one...but I sorta do. We shall see if it works with my wardrobe. It should though since it's such a simple belt. Need to find me some more belts this season. Can't go around wearing my skirts without them.

Anthropologie - Part Seven, the sale

Sale items at Anthropologie. I scored some really fab stuff for cheap. I do not usually buy things for the sake of it being on sale or cheap.

The shift dress is really amazing. And, I only paid $20 for it...down from the $100something original price. I love the yellow and the purple flocked velvet swirl on the side. In the back there's this really cute purple bow.

The brown tweed blazer with black trim was only $19.95. I picture wearing it with skinny pants, ballet flats (or heels if I want to feel taller that day), and a great black headband. I think it's a very audrey jacket.

Orla Kiely bag! This is the perfect beach/travel tote for me. How can I resist Orla Kiely right? And since it was on sale, I don't feel bad. There was a roller suitcase that went on sale also, but I missed it...and it sold out quickly online. Darn! Next time though.

H&M - Pt. 3

I actually bought these two tops before christmas and i have finally gotten around to blogging about them. Lazy me, I know. Both have ruffled fronts. I'm not usually one for red plaid. Reminds me so much of Christmas. BUT I could not resist this shirt. Plus, it was perfect to wear to my family's Christmas party with some skinnies and black ankle length boots. I've worn it after the holidays too and have received a bunch of compliments. The black shirt is perfect since I have been looking for a good skirt tuck--in shirt. It has more of a pleated ruffled front as opposed to the plaid shirt. Love it.

found this great rory beca dress at barneys. i fell in love with rory beca when i use to work at a showroom that represented the line. the dresses are to die for. simple, feminine, and many times with a vintage touch. the color of this dress is a gorgeous pinky-purple. will look great dressed up with high heeled pumps and sparkly jewels or dressed down with a cozy knit cardigan and my brown frye boots.

Triple Falls Tee - by Rebecca Beeson. Still looking for more white-ish tuckable shirts...with ruffles of course.

Nice and soft. Easy to wear tucked into skirts. Considering the black one too...cause black is such an easy, every day color to wear. I don't normally like owning the same shirt in different colors though (unless they are AA deep V tees.)

3/4 Sleeve Green Coat - Ever since this came into the store...I've wanted it. But was not really to pay for what it was priced. Then it went on sale and I had to have it. It is so cute! Love the color a lot. Glad it's not black because I have enough black coats. Has a detachable fur collar too. This coat is so feminine and dainty.

Nordstrom

I bought a couple of dresses from Nordstrom the other day. Winter dresses instead of all my spring/summer-y ones.

The first dress is my favorite. It's so comfy and I love the three colors together. AND it also has pockets! Who doesn't like pockets in dresses nowadays? I can't think of a person who doesn't! The second dress is really cute with a bright colored belt at the waist. I'm not too fond of the bottom portion of the dress. It's a thin starch-y like cotton. I hate ironing and this wrinkles easily. Ah well...you win some, you lose some.

Urban Outfitters

The very last store we went to was Urban Outfitters. I was pretty good. Only bought two things :)

Blue Print Dress - I love this dress (okay, so what don't I really love that I buy?) Always stared at it online. It is one of the Charlotte Ronson pieces from their collaboration. This will be good with my staple items...my boots and tights! I don't like buttoning it up to the top because it makes it a little stuffy, but otherwise I am happy with this purchase

Feather Skimmer - by Fairy Tales Are True. I have been looking for black flats for a month. Something comfortable enough for work. I saw these as I stepped into the door. Adorable satin skimmers. Best of all? with feathers! These will probably got a lot of wear until they fall apart. It's a little tight in the back (needs some stretching) so I put some foot petals there to keep it from rubbing against the back of my foot. So far, so good!

The Limited

The next stop in our shopping day was The Limited. This is a store that I never ever really go into. Especially not on my own. I've only gone into this store a few times...with my mom. Alas, I am grown up now and it wasn't too bad of an experience. I even bought something!

This sheer ruffled blouse. I am always on the look-out for a good white/ivory shirt that I can wear tucked into stuff. Of course with ruffles! It's a bit sheer for my taste, but that can be fixed with a cami underneath. And I know when I wear this top a cardigan or jacket will go on top of it.

Forever 21 - lacey top

Today, a co-worker and I had a shopping day. Our first stop was the Fashion Show Mall and the first store we went into was Forever 21. I haven't been to this store in a while and I really don't like going to this one that much since they hardly have anything (I miss the one in Pasadena, CA so much!) I almost came out empty handed until I saw this...

I always talk about needing tops. This is actually a tunic. I know it looks like it could be a dress in this picture, but it would be much too short! It's a great dressier top. Nice for the holidays too. I can wear it with skinnies and a cardigan (and heels!)

BCBG outlet 2

I forgot about these two lovelies. One of my friends had visited me here in Vegas and we went to the outlets together. Because of the two great dresses I got at BCBG previously, I couldn't pass up the chance to check it out again.

I know we were heading towards winter and the colder season and these pieces are very summery, but I really liked them and I can wear them next year. The strapless top was the most adorable and my favorite color! a dark raspberry pink.

Target - Part Three

Just got this at Target from their limited edition line (which I think is the same as the Go International line they've been doing in between designers...can't wait for Thakoon!) The color and the style of this shirt is amazing. I wore it once and have gotten so many compliments from people. I always need more tops, and this is perfect with jeans. And I can wear it tucked into a skirt. Great buy :)

My last sample sale stop in the later afternoon. There were sooooooo many things I wanted, but I had to let go of some. I still got a bunch of things though! Some don't look that great pictured, but once it's on it looks lovely.

Black and Creme Rose Dress - Such a classic style! I know I can wear this forever and it'll always be "in". Right now I want to harden it up with my black booties and colored stockings (of course!) I can also wear some pumps for a classier style.

Creme Dress - Love the drop waist style of this dress. Roomy and comfortable. Will look fab with my Frye boots.

Yellow Dress - very summery, but I think I can make it as something to wear now. With Frye boots, tights, and a sweater. I bet Ill be wearing this a ton once summer comes around though.

Navy Floral Dress - Love the feel of this dress. Light-weight and super cute. It'll look perfect worn with a cinched belt.

Plaid Shirt - Can't stop with the plaid that's for sure! Has a slight vintage-crafty feel to it with the lace collar. For the easy days when I want to wear boots and skinnies.

Giraffe Shirt - I am not one to really wear any type of animal print, but am completely drawn to this shirt. I think it's fun.

Pinstripe White Shirt - From the same season as the plaid. Also has the same lace detail. Good basic top to wear with jeans. Maybe even tucked into a skirt.

Cream and Beige Skirt - High waist skirt that is really flattering. Made from soft cotton. Another piece to pair with my Frye Boots (the best purchase ever!)

Junior Drake SS

Next up was the Junior Drake sample sale. I never heard of this brand until seeing it at Anthropologie. I decided to check it out since there was a bag on the Anthropologie website that I had been eyeing. I was in bag heaven! Most of the bags weren't really my style (my friends would've liked it A LOT though) but I did end up buying two things. I'm not sure what the names are of the bags...

"Amphibia Tote" (as named by Anthropologie website) - Love the squishy leather, the color, and the boho feel of this tote. I am so happy this was at the sale. When I saw this I grabbed it right away. They had it in a dove grey color also, but the tan was so much better.

Bronze Bag - I usually don't like a lot of zippers and hardware on a bag, but there was something about the shape of this that drew me towards it. Actually, I've been kinda looking for a hardware-y type of bag. The bronze-y color makes it a good neutral that can go with anything. I can't wait to use this too!

Seychelles + BC Footwear

I went back to L.A. this past weekend to see family+friends and to get my hair done. Also went on a rampage. First stop was to visit support my old work at their warehouse sale in El Segundo. Most size 6s were already gone, but I still managed to score a few things!

Seychelles Scandal Wedge - I am so ecstatic that I got these! I first saw them on the Nordstrom website. I have actually been longing for the black one, but they only had tan in my size at the sale. That's definitely fine by me! I can't wait to wear them.

Seychelles Dry Martini Wedge - I remember when the samples of this was first made. I was in love with the liquid gold and silver that was being made. For some reason, I never ended up getting it. So happy that they were at the sale. It was tough debating between the silver or gold, but I decided that I wear gold more so that would be best for me. Will be looking awesome with my skinny jeans and a cute top!

BC Footwear Weathervane Flat - In dire need of comfortable flats for work on my lazy dressing days. These fit the bill with the driving bottoms. Just a simple top and jeans and I will be good to go. I got both the black and tan, but gave the black one to my mom.

Went to Urban, did some shopping. What else is new?

Ruffle Tieback Dress - by Silence and Noise. Some more ruffles to add to my closet. Loving feminine dresses that I can give a hard edge to. Can you imagine how great this could look with some studded black booties? Well, it'll look fantastic.

Flannel Shirtdress - by BDG. I love flannels (or plaids even.) In the early nineties when I was a pre-teener, I use to "borrow" my dad's flannel shirts from the 70's. I would beg my mom to take me to the men's section at Miller's Outpost to buy some of my own. The days of that have certainly past. I may not really wear a flannel shirt around anymore, but I love those shirtdresses! Worn with tights and boots of course. I'm not that much into being a tomboy any more :)

Pleated Sleeve Dress - by Hawks by Geren Ford. I stared and stared and stared at this dress when it first came out. I just didn't want to spend $128 on it. Luckily, I was able to get this much, much cheaper in store. I really like the color of this dress and have already worn it a few times.

Knot Leather Stretch Belt - I'm not positive about this belt yet. I liked it on and everything, but I'm not sure if I love it. I haven't even tried to pair it with anything I have yet. But I'm sure I'll use it in the future...

Marled Sweater Crochet Tights - There isn't a day where I'm not wearing a dress with tights. Definitely loving crochet tights. I got this in the woodsmoke color. Already wore it with the pleated sleeve dress!

Black Chevron Striped Tights - Can't go wrong with having plenty of black tights in different textures!

I love hautelook. It's like going to a sample sale. Every day. It's a good thing I have stronger resistance than 3 years ago! They had a Rachel Pally sale a couple weeks ago and I had to buy something (or two!) I love Rachel Pally dresses so much. Each season I look forward to what new colors or styles she comes up with. When I lived in LA I would make sure to go to the sample sale in downtown when it was happening. Since moving to Vegas I have let two RP sales pass me by.

Long Sleeve Caftan Dress - I have been wanting one of RP caftan dresses with sleeves since I bought my first two a few years ago. I think I'll be purchasing the caftan sleeve dresses from now on. Decided on this green (Hunter) to add to my ever growing RP collection. Can't wait to wear this!

Side Placket Sleeve Dress - This one does look like much hanging on the dress form. Actually looks kind of blah. Add on a belt though and you have something wonderful going. So soft. Then again, it all is. Had trouble choosing a color, but ended up with "Lake". These were selling so fast I had to keep refreshing the site to see when sizes would become available.

It's been a busy, busy month, but ot too busy for a little shopping of course! Now let's get down to it...

Addition Tee - by Ric Rac. I am always in dire need of tops to go with jeans. For the days where I'm lazy and want to throw on a pair of jeans and walk out the door. I love the feel and shape of this shirt with the crochet neckline which makes it more softer and feminine. Not too fond of the bow and I considered taking it off, but I know if I do...it'll look plain. I bought the top in dark grey. It was selling so fast that I knew I needed to nab it before it sold out in my size.

Whirligig Cowl Neck - by Velvet. Lately, I've been interested in turtlenecks. Except...I don't like turtlenecks. At all. So this cowl neck is the closest thing to what I want. This could be an easy top with jeans, but I think I'd rather pair it tucked in to a full or a-line skirt. Actually...I have a skirt in mind already, but I'm waiting a little longer until I go out and buy it. Either way, this is a wonderful and soft top. I'm considering getting the green also. We'll see.

Floral Print Dress - by Splendid. This dress is absolutely fab. Plus it was on sale. I'm thinking purple colored tights paired with black booties for an edge. Or teal tights with some pumps. Tights are a definite must with this dress!

Gold Striped Blouse - I have been searching for this blouse every where for my size. I just love the subtle stripes of the shirt. Never thought I'd ever buy a metallic shirt though, but it's pretty understated.

brown floral chiffon dress - This dress is adorable! Makes me pretend that I'm living in the 60's. The perfect dress for fall in the warm colors. And T definitely cannot imagine this dress with anything other than boots.

Floral Skirt - Another thing I never thought I'd buy...this type of floral pattern. Reminds me of my grandma, but I still love it. I've probably been seeing so many florals in magazines as of late and it has registered in my head to be attracted to this...or something. My favorite part is the high waist fullness that this skirt has. Will be wearing it with my shirt tucked in and a belt for sure.

Saturday was the "big" shopping day. My friend and I headed out for Pasadena. Our first stop? The F21 of course. It's large enough where it doesn't feel like a junk yard and it's always the first place we step into. I got myself a few things.

Angie L/S Jacket - Yellow is still the color I cannot resist. In all shades. I have a lot of black coats and not so much color. A yellow peacoat would be perfect for fall. This was actually purchased by my friend for me...part of my birthday gift. I will be wearing this as soon as it turns a bit colder.

Cuffed Sleeve Top - I know I definitely do not need another casual black top, but I got it any ways. It was super comfortable and will be easy to wear on the days where I don't feel like dressing up. I'll be pairing it with some leggings and flats for an effortless look.

Black Blazer - So prep school looking...I love it. It's just a simple black blazer. Nothing really special, but I can do so much with it. I'm thinking skinny jeans and a t-shirt underneath. Or even with a frilly, girly skirt, this blazer will definitely toughen up that look.

Midnight Rhinestone Earring - Accessories are so important for me to wear to work. It's hard for me to find necklaces or earrings that I will actually wear. I often times buy things and end up never using it. So when it comes to accessories, I need to think long and hard before getting something. I know for sure I will be wearing these for the upcoming season. It'll actually be great with the black blazer above

It was a big shopping weekend as I went back to L.A. for a party. I didn't buy too much, but more than I usually do in a couple of days. The weekend started off at Nordstrom since I was still trying to find two birthday gifts. Got the gifts and ended up buying myself a couple things...

Handbag - my cheap-y bag of the season. I always buy one cheap bag each season and wear it until it breaks. It's so much better than my nicer bags breaking and getting dirty. I don't know if I'll ever move away from the slouchy bags. Definitely love how I can throw everything into it and go. And it's purple...the hottest color this season :)

Tasha Feather Flower - I needed something to wear in my hair for the party. Was trying to look for something bold and this was the closest thing to what I wanted. Loved how it ended up looking with my dress and I'll definitely be wearing this all season.

I have been looking for a dress for a party for 3 weeks now. Went to every possible store I could think of. I knew what I wanted (and nothing else) so, that was partly the problem. The party is in 3 days and still...nothing. Well, nothing until today. I decided to make the trek down to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets to look for something. All the times I have been to an outlet in my life, I almost always come up empty handed. I thought I would give it a shot any ways and I am so glad I did. I found not one dress, but two!

The teal dress will be the one that I will wear to the party. I'm thinking knit stockings, black round toe pumps, a headband of some sort, and my epi leather clutch. I still need to find a headband and shoes though. This was exactly what I was looking for. Something fitted through the bodice and some volume in the skirt.

The second dress I got because I really like it. The ruffles, the grey, the shape, and it's just really comfortable. It'll look great with a belt at the waist. And, I think it's a great transition dress. Perfect for summer in open shoes, and then for fall with a chunky sweater and boots. Can't wait to wear it!

Highlands Button-Up - by Edme & Esyllte. This top just came into the store not too long ago and I have been thinking about it ever since. This is going to look so great with skinny jeans and tall brown leather boots. The shirt fits really nicely and I cannot wait to wear this piece.

Gold High-Waist Skirt - by Lauren Moffatt. This is an amazing and beautiful skirt. Shimmery gold and lace. Pockets were a plus. And the tiny nail heads along the pockets are such a great and rocker-ish detail. I may wear this to an upcoming party if I can't find a dress. It's going to look hot with a tucked in top, beige knit stockings, and high round toe heels! But, of course, I need to find those other things first!

Forever Fall

I cannot wait for fall. The more clothes I get, the more excited I am! The weather will continually cool down until October, and then I can wear some cold-weather stuff. I stopped by Forever 21 the other day to find some cheaper pieces. Haven't been inside the store for a while. Weird, cause when I lived back in California, I would go at least every 2 weeks. Then again, the malls weren't so much of a hassle to go to like it is to trek down to the Fashion Show Mall. So what did I get this time?

Silk Racerback Tank Top - I have been in dire need of some simple, but semi-nice tops to wear underneath things. This was perfect. It still has a casual look because of the racerback and pocket, but the silk makes it look nicer. It will be great to wear underneath a blazer/jacket with some skinny jeans or tucked into some wide-legged jeans or skirts. I was going to just get it in one color, but decided on two. One fun and another basic.

Claudette Knitted Cardigan - I saw this online and didn't think anything of it. Some times, things look blah on the hanger, but fabulous on (or great on a mannequin and horrendous on!) I am so glad I tried this on. I love the fit of it on me. Another cozy piece for those casual days with jeans.

Tweed Bermuda Short - I've been toying with the idea of bermuda shorts. Thought to myself, why not try it on? So I did. And I love it. Obviously. These will be fab for work. Worn with...knit stockings of course! The silk tank top looks really hot tucked into this. Plus some sort of sweater...and some ankle boots.

Scalloped Pointelle Tights and Ribbed Tights - My first tights for the season. These were cheap, so I decided to get a few. Though, I am unsure how they'll really look compared to slightly costlier stockings...but that's okay. I got the black and ivory ones in the scalloped knit and grey ribbed tights. This isn't the last of my tight buying though, it's only the beginning.

the beginning-of-the-new-season shopping is so fun. soon it will be time to put away the sandals and summer clothes. i usually don't buy a lot of knit sweater tops, but i thought this year will be different. i decided to stop by h&m today since i haven't been there in a long time. i found a bunch of things, but only two were worthwhile. though, there is this gold shirt that i would love to have, but they didn't have a size four. i'll check it out again though when i go back to LA at the end of the month.

i got two tops. i've been searching for a sweater like this black one for a while (okay, all summer, but who really is selling something like this in the summer?) something basic that i can pair with an a-line skirt and belt (+ stockings!)

i love the look of the gray sweater. i think it'll look great paired with some skinny jeans tucked into some boots. love the little pleated sunburst detail along the neckline. something cozy and loose for fall.

Book Nook Chemise - Cute and comfortable. That's how I want to look at home. Especially with this 100+ degree heat. Just got this Anne Pinkerton chemise and am loving it. It is soooooo comfy. I could live in it every single day. I cannot wait to get more loungewear for home! Considering the coral one in the same style. Definitely a great buy.

Cloud Burst Skirt - by Odille. This just came into the store a couple weeks ago and the first time I saw it, I knew I wanted it. Of course I waited a little before getting it. This is the piece I am so excited about for fall. I got it in purple. This skirt is amazing with it's asymmetrical gathers and it has just one pocket (which looks uber cool with one hand stuck in it.) I already have an outfit planned n my head for it. Amazing heels (eyeing some lovely Jeffrey Campbell ones that are unfortunately backordered in my size) and some knit stockings and I will be set!

Acacia Flatware box - Something for my house. Have been longing for this ever since I got married. My flatware at the moment is still in its original boxes and I'm so excited I can finally open them up and place them in this. It isn't easy finding something different than the boring mahogany flatware boxes.

BC Footwear Pixie Flat Sandal is exactly what I was looking for in a dressier, casual sandal...if that makes sense. The only shoe I am not allowed to wear for work are rubber sandals (aka flip flops.) Though I walk to work in my flip flops, I always change my shoes . When I wear these, I won't have to bring another pair of shoes. It's something easy for me to wear on the days when I want to be comfortable....at least, for the next month since fall is around the corner, but these will be very useful next summer!

One more shoe from UO. These have been on my wishlist since the beginning of summer. Then they went on sale and I had to grab them. I'm always looking for shoes that will be comfortable enough for work (okay...who am i kidding? I'm always on the look out for any type of shoe that catches my attention!)

This Leather T-Strap sandal is going to be perfect for work. It's just a good basic sandal and will go nicely with many of the dresses and skirts I wear. A little tight at the top, but nothing some wear can't fix. I have more shoes coming soon! Heehee!

I have no clue what's going on with me and my Target shopping as of late. I guess, I have this want to buy stuff, but at the same time, I don't want to make the trek to the Fashion Show mall. That's the thing about living here in Vegas...most of the better shopping is at the strip and I just try to avoid it as much as possible. But when I get back to LA (oh, how I miss home), I will do some serious shopping!

Gathered V-Neck Tunic - I got one more piece from the Richard Chai collection. I wanted to get it the first time around, but didn't. Now it's on sale, so I thought I would pick it up. It really is such soft basic tee. It'll be great on the days where I don't feel like dressing up. Throw this on with some skinny jeans and a couple of necklaces and I'll be good to go.

Mossimo Black Maxi Dress - I love long dresses. Ever since my first purchase a few years ago. Since I dress up for work, I like things that are super easy to wear on my days off. How can I resist things you just throw on? Wear my sandals and I am good to go on the weekends. I actually want to get another in a different color...there is a teal blue one I have my eye on :)

Wohoooo! I got my UO package today. Finally. I didn't really buy any clothing this time around, at least, nothing I would wear in public. What's with all the black as of late though? I need to start bringing more color into my wardrobe asap!

Sparkle and Fade Easy Slip - I keep telling myself I need to get a slip for some of my (very) see-through dresses. I was using one that came with one of my dresses, but it has finally decided to fall apart. I think this is a good, comfortable, basic slip. The fabric is super soft and light. Perfect when worn underneath my dresses.

Ribbon Tie Onesie - I love cute loungewear. especially in the Las Vegas heat, you definitely need something to cool you down at home. I think this romper is very sweet with its lace trim and flow-y shape.

What ever from where ever attracts me is what I will get. Always my motto when shopping. I love going to Target. Usually every 1-2 weeks. Sometimes more. I don't always look through their clothing section, but this time I decided to poke around. I'm glad I did because I found three great things.

Mossimo Brown Top - It reminds me of something that I have seen...some where, but haven't the faintest idea where. I want to say work, but I'm not so sure. I know I have plenty of shirts in this style, but nothing in brown! It was either this or black, and I have a ton of black already.

Mossimo Silver Dobby Top - Love the feminine feel of this shirt with it's bell sleeves. It looks really cute on and would be great with jeans or a straight skirt. I think the pinstripes are what appeals to me the most, giving it a slightly masculine feel. I can't wait to find a great belt to use with it.

Richard Chai Ruffle Dress - GO International is such a great idea and move. Every time a new designer is unveiled, I run to Target just to see what it looks like in person. Usually it's disappointing for me (the cheapness of the fabric doesn't help, but what am I expecting? It is Target after all.) When I tried on this dress I wasn't sure if I really liked it. At the same time, I kinda do and I think it would make an cute, easy, casual dress...so I ended up getting it. How can I resist ruffles...right?

I have a lot of yellow and yet I still can't seem to get enough! It's such a happy color and it has seeped into every part of my life.

I first saw this dress online when the season started. I then saw a replica on the F21 website (in three other colors) and was going to buy it off there. I told myself I would "think about it" and a few days later, they were all sold out (in my size).

Then I found it again! Except the real thing and not the inspired one. The price wasn't really that bad, and I really like it, so I went for it. I haven't worn it yet since it's a bit sheer and I need to find a slip. I will wear it before summer completely ends! Though, this would look amazing with some brown leather boots and a cool jacket for fall.

Actually, I usually don't, but I go any ways in case there are things I must have. I woke up early so I could get there at 9AM. I got two pairs of sunglasses. I might go back sometime this week and get this cardigan I was considering. Oh, and these lovely fendi sunglasses. Though I'm sure I have spent enough...

Chloe Sunglasses - I read a rumor that they were going to have Chloe sunglasses this year, and they did! I have been searching for the perfect black oversize sunglasses. Don't get me wrong, I still want my Ditas, but these will be perfect for the moment.

Oliver Peoples Sunglasses - I couldn't pass up a tortoise shell one could I? These are fun and they fit my face (which is soooo hard to do on flat nose asian faces like me!)

i love all the shopping websites i belong to. i just received my first ever gilt package (joined a month ago).

cynthia steffe ripple print poet skirt - from spring 2008 collection. i'm not usually the type of person that would wear, or even buy, any thing pastel-y. but this skirt is amazing. the softness of the colors and the boldness of the print mix well together. i love the pleated waistband. will look amazing with a shirt tucked into it.

cynthia steffe "wendy" ombre dress - spring 2008 collection. another pastel. love the shape of the dress and the gradieted color. with sandals or heels, this will look wonderful. can't wait to wear it belted down.

tibi geometric skirt - from their pre spring 2008 collection. i think this is such a fun print and a little on the retro side. the red is bright and definitely eye catching.

i've been eyeing a few things this week at anthropologie. for the sake of my wallet, i settled on two things. i just didn't want to resist.

"Heian Dress" by Mauve - this dress just came into the store and after a few days of thinking, i finally decided to get it. i am a sucker for pleats and absolutely love the pleated detail across the bust. the sleeves are fluttery, but not too big. the best thing about dresses nowadays? the pockets of course. it has a built in slip with a touch of coral lace trim. no one will be seeing it, but it's a nice touch.

"Rivulets" Blouse by Odille - i have been trying to find something to go with my a-line grey skirt from h&m. i wanted something that could be tucked in. i thought a knit tank would be a good idea, but haven't had any luck (you would think that would be easy.) i decided to get this ruffle front shirt. it's a lovely pale yellow that will look great with the dove grey skirt.

I was browsing online for handbags today and came across this on the front page of Revolve Clothing's handbag page. Hello pretty color. I'm not quite sure if I like the shape of the bag yet and I'm not fond of the patent leather, but the color is oh-so-pretty. It also comes in black, gray, and yellow. The black and gray I find too shiny. I think the yellow is quite gorgeous too. The price of $385 isn't bad, especially compared to other bags I like/have. Possible purchase? Maybe. Add to my wish list.

starcrosses skimmer - metallic shoes are great neutrals. i had low gold wedges that i wore every day, but they fell apart. then i bought another pair and wore those out as well. these are almost like the ones i use to have, but without a wedge. a perfect dress up shoe for my summery dresses.

charm city boot - a great flat boot in a wonderful neutral. will be wearing this a ton when fall comes around. it'll replace my broken vintage riding boots. i wish i was able to get black too, but i know for sure there will be many to choose from soon as fall is just around the corner!

coats in 110 degree heat

it's over 110 degrees in vegas and i have already bought 2 coats. the sales person asked me if i was going somewhere cold. i said no, i just wanted them. she laughed. i suppose it could be seen as a little crazy to be buying cold weather clothing right now. and it's not like i really need them. then again, when winter does roll along and i get cold, i will be searching for something i like and turn up empty handed. it's good to be prepared, right?

5145 - another black jacket. who cares if i already have 6? this one is different. first of all, it's not wool like my other coats. actually, it has a very trench feel without the belted part. this is more of a casual jacket, which is what i do need. most of my coats have a stylish, trendy feel to it and sometimes we just want something simple.

romeo and juliet couture - a navy coat. i never had a navy coat. and if it rains, the water should slide off this fabric. a little on the dressier side, but that's what makes it stylish.

Like many other stores this time of year, Barneys is also having their sale. I was reminded when I was at the Palazzo with a friend and her family. I went back a week later because two shirts caught my eye. Unfortunately, one was not there anymore. Which would be good because that saves me some money, but not really because I ended up buying something else that was regular priced.

"Aster" double knit jacket by Marc by Marc Jacobs - I have been eyeing this jacket online ever since it came out. I love the soft yellow color and it feels so comfortable. The stripes are fun and there's a great ric rac detail along the pockets giving that arts and crafts feel. My biggest splurge for the day. Or the month.

Navy silk tank by Myne - This was one of the pieces I was going back for. I was actually going to get it in yellow, but I decided against it since 1) I have so much yellow as it is and 2) the yellow was a really bright jewel tone and I'm not sure if I will wear it more than once. Easiest solution? Get navy.

Eight Sixty at T.B.D

Browsing through Nordstrom today and came across this top by Eight Sixty at T.B.D. I've been looking for a top like this to replace a cream Old Navy top that has been completely worn out. I thought this teal would be a fun color and would look great with my skinny jeans. I'm always on the look out for great tops as I don't have too many. The perfect summer addition to my closet.

it's shirt time

Today is my cheap-y buys. Like I always say, it never matters to me where it's from, as long as I like it. Just bought three tops to add to my closet. Trying to buy more tops nowadays. I always seem to gravitate towards dresses and skirts.

brown plaid top - i love plaid. always have since the early 90's, except back then i was "borrowing" my dad's flannels. of course, there's the ruffle thing again. nice feminine touch to a "man-ly" print.

silk cotton ruffle shirt - love the royal blue color. makes it pop. ruffles down the front again! what can i say? i'm an absolute sucker.

red knit top - actually, more of an orangey-red. there is a pleated detailing across the chest. otherwise, it's a pretty simple shirt to wear with some jeans. had seen something close to this at anthropologie and when i saw this one, i just had to have it.
